AUTUMN ALWAYS

Hello hello!  A few new things have been added here and there, as So It's Gray undergoes somewhat of a transitional phase (in every way possible).  More necklaces, earrings and sweater guards will be posted within the next two weeks or so, along with a gift guide for the upcoming holidays!

If you're interested, I've been writing a few in-depth descriptions on specific pieces in my blog, and the roots of their inspiration (along with some other jabber!).  I am trying to be better at blogging in the midst of it being crazytown over here, and it's been a ton of fun.

SPRING A LING LING

This is the part where I tell you I hate this time of year and you gasp.  I know, it's terrible.  But, warm weather and I do NOT get along.  But, last year we agreed to try to make amends, so we'll see how that goes this time around.

I have been SO BUSY.  There are handfuls of new pieces I cannot wait to upload onto this site!  I've been experimenting with different techniques and joining materials that I think make beautiful pairs, and I think you will too!  I apologize for my website not being the most up-to-date resource, but I assure you this will change soon.  The bags and misc. sections have been removed for an indefinite amount of time, mainly because I've been doing a lot more jewelry making than sewing.  Maybe in the future, I'll be able to swing both.

I've also been working hard on a new adventure:  opening a vintage stuff shop on Etsy.  This has been so incredibly fun, and I'm hoping to open it up THIS WEEK.  I will post a link to that for sure.  I've also begun to work on a new blog, where the plan is to write more in depth about ideas and projects and things I'm making and bands I'm playing in, etc etc.  Because, you know, one project is NEVER ENOUGH!

FALL IS HERE FALL IS HERE FALL IS HERE

So many great  things are on the SIG horizon.  The wonderful, Rachel Browne (of Rachel Browne Designs), is turning the hamsters inside of her brainwheels to make a brand new website for me.  I cannot express how excited I am to be collaborating (it counts, right?) with her.

I'll be tabling at a few fairs, and info on them will be posted in a new events section.  I'm trying to come up with season-appropriate items as well as a brand new men's section (my friends convinced me that I could do this...)!

Lots of new jewelry posted (just in time for Mother's Day). Obvious wink, obvious wink. 

I'm going to be tabling at a benefit for Autism Speaks on June 21st at the Scout Cabin Field in Bronxville, NY.  I'll also be tabling at the BIG SHE-BANG in Brooklyn (venue TBA), as of right now set for June 22nd, with a possible date change.  I'm also intending on doing the Flea Market at the Wellfleet Drive-In, just not sure when yet.

I'm so sad warmer weather is around the corner.  I'm totally a fall/winter kinda lady.  But this does mean craft fair season, which I'm hoping to do a few of here and there.  Updates on this to come.  Lots of Each Other's Mothers shows coming up.

PROJECT: ART ROOM

is well under way.  This means more space, which in turn means more creating. 

This should be an exciting month for new art.  Good friends are releasing excellent, booty-shaking records, lots of EOM shows, lots of new jewelry and new ideas.

Got a handwritten card/letter from Portland today. It reminded me to utilize the United States Postal Service more often. Let's be penpals?

POST HOLIDAY

Thank you to everyone who purchased items from me over the holidays.  You helped show me that this is more of a reality than I thought.  Thank you thank you thank you!  I posted a bunch of new stuff on the jewelry page.  I'm hoping to dig out my sewing machine TODAY.  So hopefully more bags and things soon.  I'll have an ordering system up by the end of this week, this way you won't have to drive to my house to pick things up.  Check back soon!

HEY!  Thanks for visiting my brand new website.  Most of the jewelry you'll see here has been made over the past few months, while most of the bags are a little bit older.  I'm in the process of learning how to balance my time between my ideas and my OTHER ideas.  I'm planning on making some of what you'll see here available to purchase, and I'm trying to fix kinks here and there since unusual things are happening in different browsers, but in the meantime while I'm figuring all of that out, I figured I'd publish the site to act as a portfolio of sorts.  I'm really excited about all of this and I hope you enjoy browsing.
